Italy Cinque Terre (“Five Lands” in italian language) is a portion of coastline formed by five villages of the Province of La Spezia, washed by the Ligurian Sea.

Cinque Terre ranges from Porto Roca to Punta di Montenero, and comprises the towns of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.

This region, thanks to its geographical features, is one of the main attractions of the Ligurian Riviera.

The Cinque Terre region has a mountainous landscape consisting of different layers or “terraces” that descend to the sea with a steep slope.

Man’s hand, over the centuries, has shaped the field without altering the delicate ecological balance, using the terraces sloping to develop a particular technique for agricultural use as far as possible the lay of the land.

In 1997 the Cinque Terre, Portovenere and with the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto were declared World Heritage Site by Unesco.

In 1999 it was created the Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre (“National Park of the Cinque Terre”). Enjoy your Italian vacations, enjoy the Italy Cinque Terre now !
